Fred McGoldrick has been involved in the field of nuclear nonproliferation and international nuclear cooperation for over 30 years. From 1973 until 1982 he served in the Department of Energy and its predecessor agencies where he played a major part in formulating and implementing U.S. non-proliferation and nuclear cooperation policy. As the Deputy Director of the Office of International Nuclear Affairs, he led U.S. delegations in negotiations on nuclear supply and non-proliferation at the International Nuclear Fuel Cycle Evaluation and played a key role in the decisions of the U.S. Government on the export of U.S. nuclear technology and U.S nuclear trade with other countries.
